Fun at the Peak

I was a timid girl when talked about roller coaster. In this time trip to Genting Highlands, I had taken a very brave step to play some of the games I will never think of playing before.

Upon receiving the communication mail from KoKo on Friday, I was all excited for the trip. We were supposed to meet at PG12 lobby at 6.00am. As usual, Malaysian's time is always late by half to an hour. I arrived at the waiting spot at 6.05am in a kind-hearted friend's car. By 6.15am, we almost had everyone on the "Cuti-cuti Malaysia" travel bus. By the way, it is not VIP seat bus, it was a 4 seats-in-a-row bus. There were two buses prepared for this trip, and one was occupied shortly after we were called to board on the buses. The second bus, Bus A, my bus hmmm.. we were shorted of one passenger. Who doesn't know James LIM? The bus leader have asked his partner on James whereabout, and his partner said he was uncontactable !!!

At last we departed from Intel at about 6.55am when he finally arrived with a quick "Sorry guys!!".

I was fast asleep in the bus which I guess is caused by the car sick pill. Somehow, I think I lost my comb in the middle of the way. We had breakfast at Tapah rest area after 2 hours journey. The food there is yucks...

Soon we reached Genting Skyway. This was where the scariest thing in my journey to Genting started. Luckily I had Soek Junn beside me. We were all trying not to spot the tiger statue from our cable car. It was said that Uncle Wu Tong purposely placed the tiger there to bring bad luck to the gamblers.

We arrived at First World Hotel lobby and started to hang around posing for photos.. See Soek Junn and me were pretending as we are just 16 years old and Xiao Wei with her sexy smile.

We all dispersed to our own room with our room-mates soon we got our room key. Mine was at Tower 3, 16th floor, Room 818 !! This room was very different from the previous ones I stayed in the same hotel. The shower place is joint with the toilet and basin. So, the bathroom is bigger than the size of our cubicle in PDC.

Many of us had taken the theme park package (indoor and outdoor) which only bears the cost of RM13. Very worthy indeed for a timid girl like me.
We played some of the games like the:
Motion Master -- not nice!!! The sunglasses doesn't look cool either. The pictures was blur and the sound effect wasn't that good. I hate the water they sprayed from the side of our seats.
Pirate train -- this was pretty lame. Nothing to scare of... I was expecting someone jumped off the bushes and screamed at us.. But to no avail, nothing like that happened.

Corkscrew -- Hehe.. The game that I never stopped shouting from the time it slided.
These picture proved I was really there..!
Super Toboggan -- Max weight only 70kg. Only a few of us qualifued for this game.. One of them was elephant Julian Chan. I had backache after this game.

Alright I skipped many games because I lazy to write all down. This one is a MUST. See the Boating??? The boat that I shared with JAMES LIM CHEE HONG was "senget" to a side. I think we almost sinked. The reason why I had chooen him as my parther was because I thought I do not need to do leg peddling. But, end up, our boat is the slower of all because of the heavy weight. I still need to peddle, I do not want to play this anymore!!!!!!

We proceed to the foodcourt for dinner at about 7+pm. I took this hot plate mee which was ONLY RM13. Why I use "ONLY"? The answer is because other people who ate Bah Kut Teh end up paying RM30 for their hot meal.

Mooi Yee and me grabbed the opportunity to pose for a photo during the dinner time.

Later on 8 of us went to Ripley's Believe it OR noT? This was like a trip to the museum. We actually had a cheap deal by the rangers that supervised the museum. They wanted to make extr a money, so we only pay RM12 instead of the actually fees RM18. They somehow only got 1 ticket for all 8 of us.

This few strays of hair belong to George Washington

Look how good am I? I can hold the 3 metres tower high of stacked books with just 2 hands.
We were all very tired but still manage for many rounds of card games in Julian's room until 2pm.

2nd day breakfast time. A quick photo when I was consuming the greedily grabs from the buffet table.

A few of us went for a morning walk near the Theme PArk Hotel.

I was checking the quality of pictures taken in the trip.

This proved I really went on the cable car..

I took the picture myself. This is after I let go Soek Junn's hand. I was feeling better on the 4th time of cable car ride. The first 2 times were from the Genting Highland treasure hunt a year back. Same hand, Soek Junn's ... :P
Alright back to work on the next day..... Boring life..

Inari

Today I had a trip to one of the Japanese restaurant in Queensbay Mall Penang for my dinner. I found a shocking truth of one of it's sushi's price. Not that I am exaggerating but it is in fact not my way to accept a egg mayo/ebiko topping on one of the inari actually make it costs RM3.90, RM2 more than an usual 2 inari.

See the picture above? Basically it is a dish of 2 sweet beancurd skins filled with rice balls in each. A simple but tasty and food., loved by many . I supported the inari too because I used to worked as an assistant to an uncle who makes sushi during university semester break. I addressed him as uncle because he was too good to me as he treated me as his daughter more than an employee. He let me eat as much inari as I want without charging me.

This dish was placed nicely on it's green plate. Green in the restaurant wears RM1.90, pink RM3.90 and red RM5.90. Forgot about the *.90. I always treat all the *.90 cents as RM1

What about this picture and why it is different from the normal inari?
One of the inari has extra topping with curry salad, another one is a plain rice-filled sweet beancurd. How much you think the curry costs? It is RM2 extra than the normal inari, means this dish is on pink plate which is RM3.90. I feel it is really ridiculous... Therefore, when I reached home, I browsed the Internet with the hope to find if the restaurant had overpriced it's product.

There it goes, I found the Singapore's branch/headquater website.

They are all the same price $1.90, doesn't care whether it has topping or just a normal rice ball. Does this means the restaurant in Malaysia simply charge Malaysians? Give it a thought... The modern concept and fine touch of the interior did add a few marks to the overall marks someone can give.. but today's discovery probably change my mind.

Pot-Q

BBQ-ing crews who worked at the pit

Our supervising lady is checking the quality of the food. TM, YC, VV and HH spent most of their time bbq-ing chicken wings, sausages and fishballs for us. We had corns too..

VV still smiling charmingly although she was red burnt. Despite of the hot flaming fire, she smiled for the camera. Hope that she enjoyed the night. I love her bergedil potatoes which came in a hard plactic package Tesco/Giant bread packaging look alike.

I guess he is trying hard not to smile at the camera. TM actually volunteered himself to bbq for us. He is always the one who make the fire because of his certified qualitication as a king scout.

What they worked hard for and what we had done for ourselves??

Golden sausages. I don't know what is the meaning of arranging these two sausages together. I supposed because they make great picture.

A table of home cooked food. Everyone brought their own specialities. I personally feel everybody has done a good job and played good team work.

The hot and tasty BBQ-ed food

Chocolate banana from HH. She got a comb of banana from Tesco, she peeled the banana and cut off the center part of it. Stuffed chocolate pieces into in and wrapped each of them using aluminium foil. We watched it burnt and of course ate the bananas.

Reactions we got from the members

YC wanted the bananas so much.

There is so much to eat. You don't need to bite the fork. She is Alan's guest..

The only way to make her eyes look smaller is by laughing loud. I think she enjoy her own buttered herb rice.

We created romantic ambience

hiau-ness ..

and the ever natural golum look..

we bring them together.. the broke back gang.

What I think...

Finger lickin' good..

I'm lovin' it

Have it your way..

I want to have that piece too. I am not sure if he gave me that piece.

We thank him for the wonderful pictures

Grandma tears

When I swallowed two car sick pills when I boarded the bus on Friday night, I know this would be an interesting trip. My first time to Batu Pahat!!

My first encounter was with Huey Fen. She walked along the aisle in the bus and spotted me on seat 9/10. I was in the midst of settling down for the long journey bus.. stuffing bag into the small hole under the foot rest and preparing for the sleep. I gave her a simple "Hi!" and she walked on after nodding her head in an understanding manner. But she ended up being transferred to another bus before the bus started to move because she was heading to Muar.

I had an uneasy ride until I got down for the first toilet rest. I think it is due to the numeruous type of medicine I took before that. I took paracetamol, vitamin C, clarinase, car sick pill and strepsil all along the way. It is him who informed the driver to stop at the nearest rest pit :)

At about 7am, he called his mom to fetch us from Batu Pahat bus station. I had a friendly handshake with her, and she quickly welcomed me to the place where he was brought up.

First impression was, "WOw.., so neat". There is hardly an item on the table or any furniture set. Even his room was as empty and comfortable as a hotel room. We continued resting until mid day, where his mom fetched us to the pharmacy to meet the other family members, total up three of them :D.

We went to visit his grandmother too. She was too happy to see him. She hugged us, one each time. There were a few drops of happy tear rolling down her natural blushed cheek. She is a 88 years old lady who looked fair, plumpy and delighed to meet her grandson.

We spent 3 days in his humble home watching football matches, Amargeddon and Moulin Rouge, a simple round in Batu Pahat and a leisure walk in BP Mall.. not forgetting the sumptuos meals that his mother cooked for us all 3 days.. With all the school magazines of all years, project Sejarah Keluarga Saya in high schools.. he wanted me to know everything. I admired the collection of books in his house.. the novels.. I seriously think there are hundreds of them, Economics books, National Geographics, Readers Digests.. and encyclopedias.. I managed to read on a part in one of the book of my favourite author, Danielle Steel.

The overall summation on the trip is, I had an interesting, warm and relaxing trip with the greatest guy on earth to his place of birth meeting up his friendly mother, distinguished father, capable sister and passionate grandmother **wink**

Everyone is happy..

Listening to the love story of a friend of mine.
She is in love ... and it is a blissful love.
She was surprised, and happy.
She wore a wide smile from ear to ear the whole day.
She is glad now because she did not wait further for the yellow bus.
She had chosen her green bus instead.

Listening to another story on a friend.
She is happy she found a job in Singapore.
The happiest moment is she can able to stay close to her love one once more.
I am happy too, because she is my bestest friend.

Listening to another story..
It is my sister's.
She had gave birth to a baby girl.
Her name is Ern Rou.
We all love her, she is adorable.

I got my own story too, but I wanted to keep the sweet one to myself.
I am happy too because I have him.

Unthoughtful words...

Today was a busy day. I thought by wearing my favourite colour could bring me more pleasent look. Almost the end of working hour, we were gathered in the cafetaria for a mini celebration on project PRQ. I was sneezing in my cube for like 10 times per minute earlier, my head was pain and I feel heaty. In one simple word, I mean I am down sick. I was there 5 minutes earlier before we define punctuality at 5pm, and we waited there for another 20 minutes. I wasn't in a good mood and did not have the patience to wait for more than that period anymore. Some people said we are waiting for SK Fong. There it went.. I said, "Why he always so late one???!!!!". By the way, my voice was on top of the noise and it was clear to people surrounding 5 metres from where I stood. Suddenly a man slipped in between the crowd and walked past us heading to the front. Now everyone looking at me realising the person I was talking about just past by and I think he heard me. He walked to the front and began the speech with, "Hi, SORRY ". OMG... he was apologizing to me!!???? So, after I queued up and took some food, I quickly ate the mihun and ran upstairs to hide. Will he remember me? I was wearing purple and said some unthoughtful words which may impose a bad image to him. I am not feeling well.. I can prove that. See???

I am glad because I can write

I feel satisfied after using up 1/2kg of flour. I made it into 2 doughs.. enough to feed 4 stomaches. I used up one on Sunday and another one today. The soup base was "ikan bilis". "mee hun ge" is cheap but is my all time favourite. I am glad because I can eat.

It is so hot which I think the weather can cook an egg. I keep on sweating when I step out of the office or home. I am glad because I can walk.

I walked into the auditorium and felt uncomfortable. I did not want to attend this full team meeting but I met someone outside the washroom and he keep persuading me to come. After about 6 hours, only I realised I have a sms during the earlier boring meeting. It is from an old friend which I seldom see which says "Nice hair. I like it!!".. I am glad I have friends.

The reason why I on my laptop now is to work. I have unfinished work and I need to do something that I do not like on workgroup stuff. I am glad I have work.

Last man on battlefield

I almost forgot about the Sport's Day opening ceremony. Let me put down some words on the activities we had on that day. Basically to welcome the coming days of sport events in PDC, the committee has arranged 2 games for us to warm up the opening ceremony. They started with dodgeball matches. The matches were between various group in my department. Up there, I have created a picture of WeeLiem standing alone to be the last man in the battlefield. My creativity isn't too bad.. My drawing is not ugly either :P

Of course I won't be left out on such things on the earth. I took up ping pong game. The official name is Ultimate Ping Pong. Of course we did not win... that is already predicted.

See?? Me and Jin Wen were showing off !!!!!!!!!

It has been short, but long enough to know you...

This is the only time I have asked my mom on how to cook a dishes. I planned to cook rendang chicken since Monday. That's why WeeLiem and I went to Tesco on the very jammed day which Penang bridge was reported to have bomb planted, to get some ingredients. But the final shopping was done in Super Tanker morning market today. I managed to capture some pictures while preparing the dishes.

Part of the ingredients

Indulgence

You will savour every moment when you taste the Fondue.. I feel it is very tempting when you dipped the ball of ice-cream into hot chocolate. I love eating it when the chocolate is still soft but some people prefer it when it is harden on the surface. It was my second time eating Fondue yet I feel it was special still. I have taken a picture of myself dipping the ice-cream but I deleted it after transfering the picture into my laptop. Maybe I can't see the details clearly in handphone screen. The real vision in laptop has shown my ugly black teeth. The photographer did not inform me when he took the picture. He really need spanking from me .. hehe... I think this thing can be shared by 3-4 people. It was indeed quiet an luxurious treat on Sunday afternoon due to it's costly price.

Cheryl Yew Ern Rou

CHERYL YEW ERN ROU: I believe this is her name if the mummy stick with it. She was born on 14 of March 2007. This small little creature is very adorable.

I travelled far enough just to meet her. To have missed the bus on Friday night because of unfinished work, I bought another ticket on the next morning 11am to go back to Klang. That Saturday is her 4th day after birth. Very unlucky, I had boarded another worn out bus. The exterior looked new and shinning maybe because the bus operator company bought an old bus and repainted it. The bus keep on stopping, I guessed about 5 times and around 20 minutes everytime it stops. At last I arrived in Klang bus station at about 6pm. Mother had called twice to check on my progress. I sat on the bench with the Indonesians and waited for an available public bus. As long as I remember my last trip on a public bus, this supposed to be the place but it seems weird. I did not see any Pelabuhan Klang - Klang bus for my 10 minutes there. I rang my sister to confirm my stand. Hahahaha.. it has been too long since my public transport day, the waiting spot had moved to another part of the bus station. OK.. now I know I am already late. I arrived at home about 6.30pm and started to unpacked and packed again for my next journey.

After a quick dinner, I started my journey to Tangkak. I drove my mom and 2 younger sisters in the petite silver Kelisa. My mom was anxious to meet her grand-daughter and also to pass my sister some stuff according to traditional practise; the pink teddy bear towel which my mom had modified, the gold chain, 2 bottles of sesame oil, hard liquor and some other things which I can't recall.

The new born baby is long, I think the better word to use is tall. She did not open her eyes a lot. If she does, it is just a quick, small peek to the world. She sleeps all the time. My mom said a new born need to sleep in order to grow.. Hahah.. funny but sounded true.

I hope to see her soon, again...

sunflower

It is a bit weird when he asked me to bring my handphone with me. i thought he wanted to ring me to wish me happy valentine's day. After for about 1 hours sitting boringly in the auditorium, my handphone vibrated. The number is an odd one. I answered the call and the caller asked me to go to the lobby. Oops.. he said he has something for me. I skipped happily like a 6 year old kid towards the entrance. There is a mid year old man waiting steadily with a bouquet on the table. He spotted me easily because I am smilling at him. He showed me a piece of paper where I need to sign on it and passed me the bouquet and said .. This is for you... I knew it is from who.. it was 5 sunflowers packed very beautifully with some colourful papers.

Announcement to Fang Fang & Xiao Wei: New post!!

The reason behind this tittle is both the girls are anxious to see my next write up. I have stop writting for a while, like 1 month or more?? .. These 2 girls are the "sampat" ones and always critic at people postings? In real person, both have some similarities.

I think they are equal height when stand next to each other. Maybe in the early of 160cm? That is a good height already because they can reach the counter when go to bank. Hahaha... I remember back in 1990-ties, when I was just a little kid of the age around 8 years old, I always go to the post office, banks and other counters to pay the bills and do some office girl work for my parents. That time, the counter they had in the places aren't the normal table height, it was so much higher. I believe the officer that was working, can only see my hands, but not my face.

Another similarity that I see between them are the chubby face they got. -- No comment--

Next one is both of them are the proud owner of pet: DOG!!! One named her puppy as the character in Sesame Street , Elmo.. The other one seems like having more dogs.. From what I remember from her Friendster photo tag are Cookies and some other food. Pathetic.. She sees her dogs are edible stuff..

Smart?? OK la.. both are smart. I don't want to continue more..and last but not least, they both are GOOD and NICE people.. HAHAHAHHAHA...

Waited so long

Now is 00:36. I waited so long for just the name to turn green. I can only leave some words behind. I knew one day my wish will come true. I m feeding the mosquitoes for very long time now. At last the show ended in peace. I have nothing to say today because there is nothing much happened. I tried to get a dress for myself but ended up buying whitening mask. I wanted to go to bus terminal but I forgot about it when I was driving.

loves a man with a pet

I flipped the pages on past CLEO. I noticed an article called 6 reasons to love a man with a pet. It reminds me of a girl friend who mentioned her boy friend loves dog.

The 6 reasons are:
  • He understands commitment and responsibility
  • There is always someone else to blame if you break wind at his place. (If you stay together, then no way)
  • You know that after toilet training a dog. changing a nappy won't be that much of stretch
  • They teach guys how to be affectionate (I guess those licking part)
  • He has to get off the couch to take Fido for walks. (Same goes to playing games whole day)
  • There's that little spot under the chin that of you tickle just right ... (muahahaha)

But for myself, I scare of animals especially those moving furry creatures.
