chicken pox ABC

I am now totally perfectly qualified to give tutorial on chicken pox. I have graduated with distinguish honour of chicken pox degree majoring in discomfort and treating.

For those that still doesn't know what is chicken pox, it is a common illness among kids under age 12 (I am the one that had the pox at an exceeding age). It is accompanied by an itchy rash of spots that look like blisters appearing all over the body. Chickenpox is caused by the varicella-zoster virus (VZV). I sound so pro when typing the virus name because I copied it from the internet.

pre-chicken pox symptoms:

1) Feels sick, hot and cold on and off. Feeling like in the oven when you are in an airconed room, and thought the hot shower malfunctioned when bathing because you can't feel any heat of the water. Should have at least 37.1 degree body temperature to accuse your body to suffer from light fever.

2) Body aching. This one I had thought my lower back-sprain spread to the whole back :P)

3) Knee pain (This one more appropiate if I call it pain at the bones joint)

After a week, I got the first blister on my throat which I thought is a normal sorthroat and was being ignored. Another 3 days passed, and I had some rashes on my body. The rash begins as multiple small, red bumps that look like pimples or insect bites. They will develop into thin-walled blister filled with clear fluid turning yellowish.

Chickenpox is contagious from about 2 days before the rash appears and lasts until all the blisters are crusted over (which means now). Whoever that wish to have 2 weeks MC, please step forward and see me.

Normally you will be given an antiviral agent (Acyclovir 800mg) which is quiet costly. Please note that you might need to fork out extra money to cover the medical fees apart from the sponsorship by your company.

So, how do you deal with the itchiness and discomfort of the pox?

1) Bath in lukewarm water can relieve itching. By washing with mild soap, you can get rid of those fluid from accidently broken blisters. Baths do no help to spread the poxes. It relieves you.

2) Do not rub your body when drying with towel. Pat softly.
3) Apply calamine lotion on the spots to reduce itchiness but from experience, it only works for a while. After that you have to bear with the itchiness all night. Apply it after bath and every 2 hours :P

4) Swallow the counter-itchy pills given by your doctor. This doesn't work also for me.
5) Do not over-covered your body with baggy and thick clothes. Wear the lightest and least covered clothes. I realised that chicken pox will appear more under clothing that at the arm and legs which are open to air. Also avoid eating hot food, beware of the pox at throat.
6) Discourage scratching as it will leave ugly scar on the area.
OK. Finish with lectures. See you tomorrow.

What I want for my porridge

After many attempts of explaining the dishes I wanted to go with porridge, I gave up. With the help of internet, I found this precious picture which tells exactly what I want. I don't want to trouble him to pack food for me on weekday afternoons, so I cooked for the past few days. I am out of ingredients to cook simple food because all I have in the refrigerator are meant for healthy people to eat!

I want to convey my appreciation especially to my handsome man. He has been sending food and shopping bags to me for the past few days. He is terrified to go near me because he hasn't had chicken pox before. So what he can do is just to leave the stuff at my door step.

Also thank you message goes to every friends out there for their SMS, IM and phone calls on their concerns, not forgetting some that actually had a good laugh at me :P

There is no need to mention: My family, THANK YOU.

Comfort women

I read in newspaper today that there are few people arrested in Vietnam to have illegally human trafficking women into Malaysia selling then like USD1500 to Malaysian's elderly or disable men for marriage.

It triggers me to type "sex slave" in wikipedia.

I go to this new term called "Comfort women" and had fill my brain with more knowledge on "sex slavery" and broadening my thinking.

"Comfort women" sounds polite but what about "military comfort women"? It sounded a little bit to the negative side of the weigh right.. But "comfort women" equally the same as "military comfort women". Both are referring to the about 200000 women served in the Japanese military army brothels during World War II.

Lately I read somewhere in the newspaper that they interviewed a Chinese lady about ~90 years old. I do not remember the age. She and her sister in law were pulled by Japanese army to their camp to serve them sex day and night. The reporter asked her daughter on her opinion on what had happened to her mother maybe something shameful. I was happy to read that she said NO, because her mom was forced to.

Japanese at first place had advertised the job vacancy and prostitutes applied. The goverment then stop giving out travel visas because it was tarnishing the image of Japan Empire. What the army do next was to approach other countries and comforting the women to join oversea duty with promising of bundle of cash with prosperity rewarded by advance of few hundreds yen. They accepted only to found this oversea job is prostitution. Moving further they did not had enough, the Japanese army strolled along urban areas kidnapping young girls to their brothels.

A soldier testified that the women cried but whether the women lived or died, it did not matter to them. They were the emperor's soldier. Beating and physical torture were normal..

The most disturbing fact that bother me is even the Japanese doctors visiting the "comfort station" rape the girls when they supposed to examine veneral disease.

A little more reading to do, I really had this decision planted in my brain that Japanese always hungry for sex. I remember hearing friends saying about porns from the Japanese are variations. Also they have this SEX/LOVE hotel, setup for couple to make love. WTH???!!! At the age falls in secondary school, many of the Japanese girls had already have sex before.

Why are many people now like imitating Japanese? They are advance in techonology but their mind is full of sex. Also they tortured our older generation. I remembered once my grandmother told me that Japanese army kidnapped my grandfather when he was a little boy and brought him on to stage just throwing him on there for entertainment. OK. This doesn't relates to comfort women.. But they were torturing our people.

So I heard about this joke on Japanese kimono. Why is there this costume exists in the first place? It is for the girls to have sex anywhere they want. Just take off the kimono, you will have a pillow to rest your head and a huge cloth to lie on.

Weird Japanese vending machine. Used Japanese school girl panties. I wonder if they girls sold them the used panties? or is stolen?

Sprained my back

Almost forgotting about how painful it was, I am trying hard to visualize and blog on the accident happened to me last weekend. It was a normal home trip but a bit extra work to do because I was supposed to paint the gate. I started at about 11am after came back from the wet market, probably too late for a painting job. I was painting under the hot sun when my two sisters came with umbrellas to cover me from the glaring sunlight. They were being nice then.. when I came up with a little suggestion that they can lend me a hand. Alright, things went pretty smoothly before the fierce sun began to hide behind clouds. There comes the time when I was supposed to refill the container with paint because it almost finished. So I went down and squatted on the floor, opened the can and finding a bit problem I forcing open the lid, I wanted to stand up and go get a screwdriver or something. Grrr....... at that very moment I felt very painful on my lower back. I don't know it was so serious until at about 3pm, I still cannot bend or shift my body without feeling pain. I called my dad, and he suggested that I went to a traditional chinese massager for relief. I was finding the journey to Shah Alam tough due to the bumpy road along the way and my younger sister was driving the petite Kelisa.

Let's Celebrate

A little celebration over the project success was held on Wednesday night at the Gurney Hotel --> my first project. We were quite early and got a good seat just in front of the stage. The invitation mail stated starting time at 6pm where the early birds will get a speacial gift. As we arrived at 6.04pm, we got it.. a simple neck strap to hang our badge. I chose the one in bright fluorescent orange :P I would not complain on the food because they serve quite a big portion, maybe because the our committee pay more for the 8-course dinner. The VIP was late again, causing the dinner to begin 2 hours late. Sigh. The VIPs always stuck in traffic jam and the rest of the normal people always have to wait to them.

Just like any usual company dinner, we were treated to shows and performances by the vendor and our own colleagues. I lazy to comment on those because there were so many of them.3 "gays" and 4 ladies

Team photo. :D

The picture that Soek Junn said is nice..

Lousy laptop + Lame VNC == Job failure

I don't think anyone ever see any shittier problem that I see. I always have problem with my lousy laptop and lame VNC. This is the second time my VNC crashes today. There is no better time it chooses to crash, terminating all my important runs and debugging jobs. When I called EC for help, they will say,

"the VNC has crashed, you do not run anything on them now right? "
"what the .... , don't run? Who you thought I am? The manager? You have just made my FC rollup failed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

I called the EC again just now, and it asked me to leave a message because no body is working......... -_-'''

Many of the times my delievery delayed is due to VNC problem. I tell you nobody will believe it when I say it is the VNC again.

It is just blank no matter how many times I get a new one......... What the hell that they just installed for me?????????????????????

Transformers is better than Armageddon

Hmm.. long time since I last blogged. Today we went for annual team building event. It was a simple one, just a buffet lunch in G-Hotel followed by Transformers movie.

G-Hotel is simply stunning. The interior is handsomely design with the touch of modern and rich lifestyle. One word describe the feeling: IKEA-ish.. The buffet lunch cost RM32 per pax and there were not really many choices of food. You can finish picking the main course in one round and second round on the deserts. The cake was very attractive and it fit one mouthful. The bad part is I did not snap any picture of the desert.

The best agenda of the event was on the movie. The premier class did not really score better than the normal cinema because of of the smaller screen. The movie has absolutely captured my heart after Armageddon which was screeneed sometime back in my Form 4 times.

Very tired, dizzy and headache after the movie.
