Nothing much happened

I have nothing to much to tell lately except that I made some cookings throughout the week to satisfy my need. It sounds weird when I said satisfy my need by cooking. I like cooking a lot and I wish to have a big nice kitchen. It would be great to share this with someone special or to cook for someone special. I did not take much photos but there is one that I took on the first weekend I came home. I sms my two friends to bring their partner but too bad they were too occupied and already had their plan. I cooked my favourite "mee hun ge" and it tasted exactly like always, far better than the one sold in stalls in Penang, is the sweetest and tastiest soup with the softest and smoothest pieces of the dough. Yummy..

So the week filled with a few big feasts which are the project tapeout celebration, teambuilding and a simple farewell for my dearest friend.

The farewell dinner was held in nando's. I was the odd one who is not in their usual gang who joined this dinner. I had to as I missed her previous farewell dinner with my lunch gang. My face is actually smaller then hers but she always pushes me to the front whenever we take photo so mine look a little bit broader in this photo. Don't get cheated!!

A group photo with the rest.. Han Beng was there too :) Shiang lan baked lemon cheese cake but hehe.. I do not want upload the photo because I look ugly in it.

The teambuilding was a walkhunt in Queensbay and followed by a buffet dinner at TGIF. We walked so much that I think the walk is equivalent to four times of walk in shopping. I felt so tired of walking after my last hike in Muirwoods. :P

Who knows that my team actually won the third prize in the hunt out of eighteen teams. Not bad huh? :P

Yeah! Going to office tomorrow and get the hamper distributed. I want this this this and that that that. :D

Old photos

I was back at home during Wesak Day last weekend. I browsed through my old photo album and saw some old photos which were taken back in secondary school. They make me think that I am not a kid anymore. I kept short hair during school days for easier maintainance. The weather in Malaysia is so hot that I did not want to have wet sweaty hair every day in classroom because I took public transport to school. Back in those days, it wasn't as hot as now. I think the world weather changed so much that now it gives me headache everytime I walk under the glaring hot sun.

This is the photo of the Interact Club committees taken for the school annual magazine. I think this is in year 1998 (Form 4) or 1997 (Form 3).

Class photo of 5Sc1 year 1998!!! Spot me!!!

This photo was taken in year 1999 (Form 5) if I remember correctly. It was one of the pendidikan jasmani class where many girls did not bring proper clothes for game. We just walked around the campus and snapped some photos together. I was wearing the blue house t-shirt :P. So lame. We had blue, yellow, red and green houses. So blue house was always in the 3rd place out of 4 houses .
This was taken in Form 5 too, final year in school. As seen in the photo, the prefects were not wearing any tie anymore because we had already "retired" from our post getting ready for SPM exams.

Seems so far away from school now, but I can still remember my seat in class. I know who sat beside me and everyone else in class.

Post US Syndrome

I don't feel like blogging at all since I came back. I have to write this or else no one will want to drop by here again because I never update anything to my blog. I am lazy to attach any photos today :). But the main reason is I can't find the "add picture" button to click on this template. Weird.

When I first came back, my first impression was Penang looks wear-off. I know it sounds strange but I really think that way. Everything looks old and not mantained properly. There are holes on the roads and the rails and poles are rusty. I need to slowly adapt to the "scenery" here.

The big difference between US and Malaysia is the sky. The sky is very high up and blue there but it is lower and gray here. Also it is sooooooooooooo hot and humid in Malaysia. I need to bathe 2 times at night before I can sleep because it is very hot and my skin feels so itchy. My skin is having a terrible change to adapt from dry to sweaty air. It cried to be pampered. So I did 2 face masks in 4 days.

Not forgetting that we going to have long weekend this week, hooray!!! If not because of Xwei, I would not know next Monday is Wesak Day.

Somehow the overall mood this week is averagely fine. I feel slow, strange and moody all the times, drowsy in day time and sleepy at 8pm every night. Hope it gets better next week after home trip.

Good Bye My Friend

A post dedicated to a very demanding girl that I ever know; and she is someone special who came into my life about 2 years ago. She says hi to me everytime because she wants to make sure that I remember to bring home her baggus but I know she just want to find something to talk to me. It has been long since we chatted for hours in IM and spending time in the park. Actually in real case, we weren't spending any time in the park together most of the time. We just informed each other that we will go down to jog and happened to meet each other in the half field. One terrifying thing about her is ermmm.. not her.. is her dog. Elmo is a cute little baby boy but I am still can't get used to touch furry creature yet. Give me some time, woman! When I am ready to touch him, I will. I won't be seeing your handsome black myVi in the carpark anymore when you left. I think I will miss your car but I guess the emotional feeling that can be replaced by looking at tze yee's car. I know this post is kind of messy but I am writting down what comes into my mind now. There seems too many things that I knew about her since we know each other. She cooks, and I cook, but we cook different dishes and hers are absolutely tastier and better. If J has the money, ask him to sponsor you a bakery :) I would love to have free cakes, buns and cookies when I drop by KL next time. I have not meet the naked guy in your friendster yet, so if it happens to have the chance, show me ok? The real naked guy... I really wish you to have happy life ahead and that you will love your new job. In the future, you do not have to do the 5 hours travelling back home to meet J every weekends. I need you sometimes but I don't know how to get you in the middle of the night. (I sounded so lesbian :S) Wait for me to come back, and we will go for a meal before you leave the horrible place but with lovely people like me.

Reckless driver

Sometimes I say typical Penang driver.. It means those who drive like their father owns the road and treat other people life worthless. I know not every Penang driver is like that, so those that are not is considered outstanding. I met one terrible Penang guy yesterday and he was travelling in the same car as me. We went for a trip in four and we drove my car. So the other two girls drove and I dozed off soundly and safely. But soon the guy took over the driving I felt my life was at the end of a needle. He followed the other sporty car so close like wanting to kiss his butt. The driver was terrified with this guy driving and got in time to squeeze into a small lane beside when he had chance to let our car passed through. This stupid guy still puzzle ask why he suddenly went to the side. So I answered because you followed him too close and further more you are driving on a VERY scenic road. When on the way back to Folsom, I took over the car keys as the keys were mine and did not want to let him risk my life. So I drove and followed the speed limit nicely only exceeding by 5 mph the most. So he said proudly in sarcastic voice to me that I was driving at 40 too. Okay.. I did not want to explain further. I did not know if he was blind or he really could not see any signboard. The road which I was driving at the time was having speed limit of 35 and his one in the afternoon was 25... At one point I know he could not stand I drove at the legal speed and wanted to take over. okay .. I was too tired to argue so I let him.. But the problem was he never can see the speed limit sign. Although it read 40mph, he drove at 60 and at 65 mph, he drove up to 75 and 80. Frankly I did not want to get a ticket because if we really got it, I will not ever share it with this terrible guy. So my car gave a sound whenever he drove pass 75mph. I was trying to explain it was because of he driving too fast but he never want to listen. So in the middle of the road, forcefully we changed another driver. I am safe and sound now and will never want to meet this guy again ..

Sacramento short visit

Today I drove alone to Sacramento and I was so scared that I maybe receive a summon in short time because I did a mistake in one of the junction. I made a right turn where I was not supposed to when the light is red. There was a sign on top of the road "Photo enforced". If I really get a summon, I think I have to tighten my belt again for the next month because one ticket caused about 200 dollars and it is like rm630 for us in Ringgit Malaysia.

I kept driving in worrying position and I arrived at the governor mansion. A building which is in white and very Victorian housed 13 governors before untill the year 1967. The governor mansion is under renovation or you can say restoration. I hated it but no choice I had to proceed with my visiting to the next destination. I did not went in on the tour because there was nobody at the counter after I waited for 5 minutes for someone to attend to me.

So I visited the Leland Stanford Mansion which served as an office to three California early governors. I paid 8 dollars for a guided tour which lasted for about an hour. No photography was allowed in the mansion because the things inside the mansion was meant to be preserved and they want to avoid people reproducing what they see inside the four storeys mansion.

I took some photos outside the mansion and I saw orange tree!!! Can you believe it orange tree grows outside the mansion and some were falling on the ground?? :)

Next I went to the California State Capitol Museum. Actually I did not went in, I just walked around at the park and met a few groups of married couple taking their photos.

They were some interesting statues around and this one below was a mother and child grieving for their lost love one who battled in the war.
I did not feel like staying out for long today so I decided to stopped a while at Old Sac again because the last time I went there was after dark.

Took some photos and went back home.

Mystery Spot in Santa Cruz

I went to this place which they called Mystery Spot in Santa Cruz. It is located in the middle of the redwood forest and is isolated from other place. It is just a small place with a small wooden house which was supposed to be in the center of the hill but it slipped down to the mystery spot and was so happened to stop there because of a redwood tree grew at that point. They said the gravity level is different at here.

So we paid the fees and waited for about 10 minutes for the guided tour. The tour guide is kind of cute too. His name is Patrick. Haha. He places a plank on the table near the door and we witnessed a miracle happened where the bottle slided up to the higher point of the plank. So he tried with other stuff too, a ball and a chapstick lip mostourizer. Actually I was amazed in the first place but then I felt it is a bit lame because it looked more like an optical illusion more than the gravity which is said different there. You can look at the next photo where the house is in sloppy position.

But one thing that is hard to explain was I felt really easy to walk up the slope. It was like walking on a flat road than an inclined slope. Also when I entered the small house, I was feeling dizzy and nausea's.

So I end up believed that the gravity is different at mystery spot.

VERDICTS:

It was hard to push the metal ball towards the higher direction.

I could stand like this???

My body swing to the left side.

I lazy to think about it but I believe it can be scientifically explained.

Story back in Penang campus

Having to hear about the eerie story happened back in Pg12 level 2 restroom on Friday Penang time spoiled my night. I did not dare to go to my room's toilet and the sprung like rocket from the toilet seat every time since yesterday. I know I am a sea apart from Malaysia but still I am frightened after listening to the news. How a place I had always been could discover a hysterically hidden creature inside? But as far as I heard, the janitor is a Muslim and the creature is belongs to her community. A few strong hands tried to calm her down but failed. I did not know what left to her later on. Hopefully she is gone by the time I came back to Penang. Go go go away.. I am still scare. I had to use 5 pillows to cover my whole body and pulled the blanket up to my head to secure myself yesterday. I hope my boyfriend is here with me. Someone please send him here. I had to tell myself that nothing is wrong. I was terrified the other day too, because my room phone rang at about 3.10am in the morning and I was in blur condition answering it. It was an automated morning call from the hotel. I did not remember I request any morning call service so I marked that as an erroneous machine issue. So I quickly slipped back into my comforter and pull every pillow near to me, locking me inside the soft and comfortable hiding place of mine. I have the heart of a mouse. I don’t know why, but it is just like that.

Exploring Point Reyes

Wild flowers along the road to destination. Spring is coming!!!

The place that we wanted to visit is called Point Reyes. It is basically a park for you to exercise because you need to walk a lot, really a lot. The thing is you will sweat, but sweat in you as the wind is so strong that you don't feel sweaty at all. Every point of my body which was not covered by relevant cloth was so numb.

The best place to begin is at the bear valley visitor center. I did not see any bear here but I think this place probably was once a time habitated by bears.

Our destination is to the famous light house which you will need to walk 300 steps (stairs!!!) equivalent to 30 storeys building. The view was impressive but the fog kept on blocking those magnificent view and failed my mission to spot the gray whales. They only had 1 whale count by the time I was leaving. The day before was 35 whales count!

The place where you can observe the migration of gray whales.

Foggy..

My legs were so weak when I first saw this. I had to squated down to familiarize myself at this height.

The view at North beach view. I was pretending to be cool in this photo. Actually it was freezing out there and I took out my jacket just for a beautiful photo shot because every photo of mine look like the last one -_-'''

On the walk to Tomales Point but we did not finish it because the whole trail is 4.7 miles. We only walked for 2km :P

Cheese Cake Overdosed

The weather on Saturday was far away from what was being forecast on weather forecast channel. It was a bright sunny day. So went for cheesecake treat in Cheesecake Factory.

This place sells all sorts of cheesecake which I felt I am overdose by the cheese. But truly, the cakes are very nicely made and taste good too.

It has a right environment for eating cheesecake and sipping red wine. But we only took the plain water because the two pieces of cheesecake is already expensive :S

I ordered two pieces admiring my own apetite after eyeing the cakes in the glass display counter. Then I regretted because I can only finish 3/4 of the first piece. I asked for Godiva chocolate cheesecake and Oreo cheesecake. The Oreo cheesecake is now still in my fridge. Pity the cake because I don't even want to touch the box after the overdose effect.

Old Town Sacramento

We went out for dinner on last Friday to somewhere far than the normal days. We were at the Sacramento old town. I have very little pictures as my camera is not good in taking pictures in dark environment. So here they are..

We did not eat at this place because it was so full and we have to wait for one hour to be seated. I saw the waiters and waitresses were dancing in the restaurant around their customers when we went in to check on the seats. :P very much alike cowboy type of restaurant.

This is just a street of the town.

Shops... Legacy feel

The bridge which we kept on taking photo with because it was the best view at night.

End of entry. Short and simple. :)
