Sale time!

So many people down sick lately. I have not fully recovered but I think I am getting better compared to two days ago where my head was pain and dizzy as soon as I look into the lcd screen and cough like both my lungs going to drop off, smashed by enzime in the stomach and drain out together with my urine. My mom rang last night to check on my condition because she did not realise her daughter has not been so well although she still actively running here and there and able to shop a pair of slim fit jeans from MNG year end sale. Quite worth for money since it is RM100 reduced from the original price. Everyone is searching like mad in the store trying to dig out the glamourous top that match the most fitting bottom. Even the bags are snatched away like crazy by fashion addicted ladies ranging from fourteen years old teenager to fourty-nine year old mother. Her hau went two times in a day last thursday and was there again today when I received her shocking sms that she is again in the store because MNG has taken out more clothes for the customers to choose. She must be really excited and adrenaline pumping like she had won first prize in 4D because she got the tops and pants by discounted price. It is December now and many stores worldwide offers great sales where many people squeezing to prepare for new year with new house hold accesories, curtains, sheets and furnitures also clothes. Have to control spending wisely. Must.

Swimming today :)

My Primary Schools

Kepercayaan kepada tuhan,
Kesetiaan kepada raja dan negara,
Keluhuran perlembagaan,
Kedaulatan undang-undang,
Kesopanan dan kesusilaan.

At the back of my primary school exercise books, there written five lines like the above. That was the result of the riot in nineteen sixty nine. I was reminded not to mention the case in front of anyone since young. So we learnt in Alam dan Manusia on Rukun Negara. As a student, I memorized the lines intactly and shouted out every line when we were asked to say them out. So you see I began my early education in a very typical malay school full of malays and with only about four to five chinese in a student year. There is a rule in school where nobody is allowed to speak in their mother tongue language except malay language. If anyone were caught to speak in mandarin or hindi or others, the person has to pay a fine of ten cents. The can that teacher kept was meant to collect the cents from non-malay students and to my great controlled in using mandarin, I spoke malay to even my chinese friends. I can remember their faces vividly: Evelyn Wong Tze Li, Tang Yien Siang, Teo Yee Yong and Alan; whom were in the same class as me # Merah class which was specially only to store us, two or three indians and a punjabi, the non-malay with the rest filled up by malay kids. I remember there was this Cikgu Ghazali whom I hate even until now. Remember the "derma PIBG" that school collects every month? At that time, my dad was the sole-bread winner of the family and he was just a machine operator in a factory with five daughters and a wife to support. So my mom said lets give the donation only RM1 per month, since it was meant to be donation and we can't afford to give more than that. Total we gave RM12 per year. Everybody knows that malay medium schools are fully sponsored by the goverment and don't actually need any donation to help the school operation. This cikgu which I referred here still as cikgu because I respect his profession. When I presented to him the card in the class, which was supposed to record down how much we donated and with my mom signature on it, he said very loudly in class with a disgusting voice why that I only gave him RM12? He mentioned that the other chinese are so rich and willing to donate so much money to chinese schools and why not me? I was a very very very very very timid girl in my early days. I quietly listened to his lecture and then crawled slowly back to my seat and with tears rolling down my cheeks. You know why I hate them now. That was just the starting and there were much more to come, where the other kids will call us as babi because we makan babi and their mother said to them not to mix with babi. My school is located very near to a local university therefore many of my classmates parents were either lecturers or professors. So when teacher wanted to collect information on the occupation of the student's father, easily he just need to ask, "bapa/mak siapa pensyarah?" and he can start counting, followed by "bapa/mak siapa profesor madya?". The remaining one he will ask manually one by one. Their donations were like Rm100 or more. There it went... how I got the insults from.

Luckily my dad able to fish another better job in my later days and we shifted to another town and to new school. YES YES YES. No more those racist remarks. And that time of my age I was a happy kid, it was a convent school. St. Anne's Convent. Then the most happy days was singing school anthem in dual languages :D. But we still have to stand still listen to "baca doa" every morning. Doesn't matter to me as long as I was respected. Everybody shall be respected no matter what they pray for.

There was news saying that goverment wanted to tear down anything that look christianity in the school and demolish the cross sign lately. Then for the sake of the election, they purposely make the statement that the school can now keep those crosses and statues. Good job laaaaaaa. Even the extention of PengerusiMajlisPilihanraya from sixty five to sixty six is ridiculous. Who doesn't know they want to use Rashid for another year just to secure another term of ruling.

Sigh. Better stop before stepping into political stuff. My mom will scold.

Chicken Out from Paint Ball

So you see I was the one who talked so much on how the paint ball will be fun and exciting with all the blueblacks and wounds. But the thing is I suffered from headache, head spin, sorethroat, cough and flu from the pizza lunch last Friday. Again, pizza hut caused me headache. So I kinda missed the fun out there when our team held it's annual team building at the Kelab Belia & Sukan (KBS) today. I told Xiao Wei that I will not attend it but I ended up woke up at seven thirty a.m. because I received a call from Aan Chien who hurted his knee and cannot attend the paint ball event too. After all, I am up so I went to the office to help out as much as I can. I hired myself as a half day camera lady.

When we arrived at the place, my first impression is it looks so dirty and unattended. Will anyone of us get bitten by snake at anytime? The paint ball war will begin very soon. At nine-thirty, we were given not short but not too long briefing by the marshall. Don't know his name. :P

The marshall showed us on how to operate the marker and explain the rules of the game. We divided the group into eight teams about four people in a team.

The war field get sectioned from watching arena by this nets surrounding the area.

The place is a bit eerie with long grass which might hide some insects or snake in them.

The view inside the playing field. Tyres and planks.

The players were given chance to walk around the field and some already started drawing their strategics and plans.

One of the many groups photos. Macho guys and brave women.

The marshall did not wear a protective jersey like the others but he is allowed to hold this REFEREE shield.

The marshall knows how to act cute also. He whacked people that took out their masks before stepping out from the playing zone for safety reason.

I think this is Chan Chun Wai-in-action.

Han Yao all prepared for the game. Aiming hard to shoot down the red team.

I am not sure this is Jin Wen or Xiao Wei. Looks like a lady feature.

The team get ready to play: Willetts, Choon Peng, Xiao Wei and Chuan Ning.

It was really wasted that I did not play together. They had so much fun and exhausted at the end of the game. So I asked them to take a picture of me and Wee Meng outside the net to prove that I was there supporting them.

Myth of Being Single ?

Today other than having painful hand muscle after bowling in sunshine, I am having diarrhea after the pizza lunch. That is the reason I never favour pizza from the hut. Mouth ache of the hard and thick crumbs, I do not like the pizza flavour too. Not italian enough and the campbell soup doesn't tastes creamy or milky. The worst is the soup instant powder is not dissolved properly in hot water causing the texture to be like "mua chi". I hate pizza in the hut but somehow loves their spicy chicken wing. Ban again after the last ban. But bowling was good. Now at least we all know LK has his own bowling shoes.

My moody feeling does not improve since last week. I think I ate too much spicy food and read too much hot news. It influences my emotion pretty badly until the extend when I see or hear bicycle word, I wanted to shout out my boilling complains. That is why I am getting retribution with a tiny peanut on my left eye.

Xwei blogged about her handsome taekwando sensei today. Other than her obsession with handsome creature like our own angkasawan (which I don't think he did anything proud at all) and leonard, she blogs. She tries to capture photos using her K750i anywhere she goes so she can upload in the "xweing away".

Alright into the main topic. I want to discuss about the myth of being single. I think I read about this in either this or last month cleo and had some points which I want to remind myself and some other people out there who may think they need it.

First when you are single, people might think that you are a failure. I am going to talk from a lady's point of view. I think it is a failure when you are making yourself believing he is the best for you when you were with him. He might not suits you but due to your chicken heart to accept the fact, you are living in the dark. I think it is a huge success to able to have the courage to walk out from a place which doesn't belongs to you.

Second when you are single, you afraid that at the age of twenty-eight it is too late to get a good man because you think all have extincted or being taken or died. Do not worry because I have twenty-seven to thirty years old friends who are still single. My known portion is only 0.0000001% of the real statistic. There are still fine men out there. It is abnormal for a lady to wed at thirty in the 70's or 80's but it is normal that at the age of thirty everyone is still single. I know it is impossible for me to wed so soon too :P.

Third when you are single, people might feel you betrayed your ex boy friend and he left you. So they came with many theories why you are single at this time. Most of their ideas are out of mind, and STUPID. And some even worse to think that you are not a perfect woman or can't do house chores :S so nobody wants you.

So to all my friends, do not worry yet because we are still young and beautiful and good man has not died yet.

Weird bahasa

I always see this in product's description label and really can't stand this kind of stupidity in their language. In english, the description sounds perfectly fine. When it is being translated to malay, it sounds terrible, like a standard three level bahasa melayu. My guess is the designer of the label uses translator like the altavista-babel fish or other online translator tool. Not only on warranty card, I see it on shampoo label, food can and etc.

Let me grab an example.

In English:

We shall always endeavour to serve our valuable customers to the best of our ability when pearls, jades amd other precious stones are delivered to us for setting. We shall however not to be responsible for any damage or loss due to fire, theft, robbery or any cause save, as hereinafter provided, covering any of the items so deliverd.

-_-'''

-_-''' -_-'''

-_-''' -_-''' -_-'''

-_-''' -_-''' -_-''' -_-'''

** fainted

Shall I correct it as:
Kami akan memberikan perkhidmatan yang terbaik kepada mana-mana tempahan barang kemas yang diterima. Namun demikian kami tidak akan bertanggungjawab ke atas kerosakan atau kehilangan barangan akibat kebakaran, rompakan dan malapetaka yang lain.

Although my bahasa melayu are not too superb, I feel it is a lot better than the one in the label.

Perfectly fine lawyer-ed english

Standard three bahasa melayu

Go and check your shampoo. It has weird malay language. Fix them please.

Let's Live Green

Let's Live Green: This is the theme of year 2007 PDC dinner which was held in Bayview Beach Resort last Thursday. People were recommended to wear green to celebrate the live green dinner. Dress code is smart and casual means many will straight wear their office attire jeans and t-shirt to the dinner. Somehow a few really dressed up too. I arrived a little bit late for the tea time so I missed the graduate trainees performance. Doesn't matter because there was much more to witness in the coming hours.

Heard that it was the cute para para sakura dance :) From the picture took by Eng Heng, it looks like an energetic performance by yellow and pink sakuras and no doubt they were all enjoying the dance.

At that time of the day sun was glaringly shining. Hot and sweaty. There was this game where we were asked to search around the garden for snowman hidden somewhere. I actually arrived at that time when emcee started the game. There were eight of them and Daniel found one. Some were not really hidden and just hang on the tree branch easy for eyes to catch. I walked around the place and did not manage to find one. sob. But nevermind because I did not squeeze in between tree branches or beat the bushes to dig one snowman out. Credit shall go to those that paid a lot effort.

The snowman looks like in the picture. Leonard gave the snowman to Xiao Wei. Sweet present although it is free. haha

We weren't hesitate to leave the garden as soon the emcee announced that we were allowed to enter the ball room already. Nice to be in air conditioned room compared to the hot weather outside. They called it 8 course dinner but I think the menu written only seven dishes. Something must be wrong with the hotel catering package naming. At least, the management can add a shark fin soup to complete the 8 course dinner.

Crowd started to fill the room where many were unfamiliar faces I never see before. Hydrogen ballons were everywhere, white, green and yellow... Atmosphere was like prom night, Xiao Wei said.

So sweet of Jin Wen to write all our names on our ballon.

Monkeys and monkeys :D

Lovely people

We had our own PDC runaway fashion show and band competition. They were not bad other than bad judging ability on the band competition. I still like my own given result: The best two are TDB and Designer Republic. The drummer for TDB is damn good. He plays like an idol but they got last. Where is the fairness???!! I want to march for clean and fair competition.

Designer Republic playing on stage (Julian's camera) . They won the competition and went home with RM1.4k in their pocket.

PDC runaway fashion show is won by the PSV team. Their design is unique and model is just too model. The contestants are RM1k richer now.

Not only the theme is green, even the desert is green in colour. Taste bad actually. Too coconut milk-ed.

Not a too bad night for PDCers. I would say I still prefer the 15th year anniversary last year.

Second Jusco in Klang

The last weekend I went home, I visited the second Jusco is in town. We have one Jusco in Bukit Raja and now we have another on in Bukit Tinggi. Everytime I travel back, I discover there are new buildings added in Bukit Tinggi. This place really grows like mushroom after the rain. Shops, hypermarkets, houses, and now we have AEON!!!

This is the only picture I have which noted the AEON sign which I earlier thought is eon .. the malaysia proton bank -_-'''.

Heard that this shopping mall houses the biggest Jusco in Asia ... Don't know how true is that. But I can absolutely tell you that it can replace Mid Valley in my heart. It is a mall which has all the stores, boutiques which I can afford to go. Not like KLCC, all the expensive brands and I never step into it for more than twice before.

View from one of the building side. I can tell you is huge.

Right now the parking is still free. After the loose period all Jusco card members are entitled for first hour waiver of the parking fees, but still have to pay.

Green Gift

I have got a green gift from the PDC dinner I attended yesterday night. A replica of what I kept last time in my cubicle but was asked to remove it by some security members because I use water as the medium. This time they use jelly...

Something good to absorb our CO2 in the office. Fresher air now..

Another 2 Plain Days

I saw a beverage machine in pantry today. The guy was installing the machine while being surrounded by an emerging crowd. All stunned and their eyes sparkled with mixed emotions on the love of the management is showering on the employees. Sujea too is thanking the God for free dinner every two days in a week for those who works late. Now we are almost there catching up with Google's benefits :p

Guess nowadays youngsters are so much pampered. A young lady asked from me a handphone for her belated birthday. Maybe she is not that pampered also. My mom promised her a handphone this year as she is approaching Form Five. So she found this model which has all the feature she wants, k32oi, not so expensive about rm300-rm400 and gave me call to double confirm the quality. Not bad for the range of price product. Might consider giving her this (burn pocket again).

I written this piece yesterday night but did not finish it. Therefore you people might be seeing today and "today" which is actually the day before. I am listening to this song "when love takes you in " by steven curtis chapman received from a friend in the morning. Soothing and comforting in the morning but dissapointing because when I went to take the coffee from the pantry's machine, all came out is just hot plain water. Tonight we will be having a company dinner and nobody seems to wanting to dress up. All jeans, all boring... haha... Maybe I will just wear a jeans and green top abiding the dress code smart and casual.

Weather is terribly hot for the past few weeks and will still continue to desert till chinese new year I feel. This means mosquitoes will be continuing the war towards human troop, preparing to the worst.

Demotivated

Sometimes people make remarks without thinking of other's feeling. These guys thought they are building fame from their words but I feel they are eating their own hot and spicy shit just fallen out of their buttock. They will receive their karma one day. I am demotivated to do work because of their existance. I remember reading about this in forwarded email; that if you want to be on top, shit more. You can stand on your shit to reach the tree top. The more you shit, the faster you can reach the top. So smart, they shit just to climb the corporate ladder faster.

If I did something nicely, I hope for at least a word or two of praises instead of accusation of something-nothing-to-do-with-it not being done well. Rubbish..

My only motivation to go to work is that I know I can lay to rest at night after coming back from the office :P or I can cook after five thirty. Other than cooking, I love washing car because I like the wonderful feeling when I rub off dirt from the car skin similar to you opening the paint application in pc and fill in the sketch with black colour then use spray to white coloured the area.. double smile :D :D

Then my lazy day is like this: I was entertained by the Blood Diamond which I never fnished watching since few months ago during my sleepy night to keep myself awake to run another job later at twelve something. Archer's south african's slang is terrible. I think he is speaking indian. People is lured to diamond because of it's rarity and beauty even esteem to the point where men is captured for mining purpose, and tortured by spliting them from their family, kids are stolen away from their family for children army. "Only RUF on the Road!!!" Too saddening and heart tearing. okay end of story.

Back to the dull and bull life, I am always looking forward for weekends and holidays because that is the time the bird is out of the cage. But when weekend arrives, normally I want to stay home and lie on bed resting and do nothing, maybe counting the dust on my room's floor. My dark colour clothes hang to dry outside end up having thousand hundreds of white tiny particles.. dust.. I wonder why the houses around here are so dusty. I clean the floor today and tomorrow there is already one layer of dust. There is so much to do, never can finish.

24.11.2007

A pampering two hours spent in Clara was almost rehabilitating as like going for a Payar snorkelling trip. Today I experienced the usual routine when I go for a facial. Started with appetizer which is the milk cleanser, blew water vapour to face for about 10 minutes to open up the pores, followed by pressing those white and black heads, masks and so on. The best part of the process is the shoulder and neck massage. The aromatic fragrant of scented oil used in the massage plunged into my nose and I knew at once it is the lavender scent. It released my tense and hardness of muscles all accumulated from the tiring and hectic days. The soft but strong massage was an indulgent treatment to little demon like me :p . The funny part of the treatment was I fall into a deep imagination during my sleep, or I dreamt. I was dead and my mother mourned for her dead daughter. My family were all very sad over my departure, crying and sobbing. Whenever they sees my photos, the atmosphere was sorrowfull. Then I saw my boyfriend too. He was too sad to eat and looked very down. I was looking at him from up there and decided to go to him whispered him to forget about me and carry on with his life. :( If this is real, I think I am going to miss them too. Thank god that I woke up and found that the eye pads were all wet from my tears. OK, all dreams, all dreams...

Anyway, I am pretty sure I will look after everyone if I am up there :D

Funny photo with only the eye. It was taken during one of our lunches in weekend. WL and I were too bored while waiting for our food and decided to compare the size of our eyes. So we took each other right eye and compared. I don't want to upload his eye photo because I am pretty sure I won that time. Don't want to waste time to check. Hahaha.

Back to the facial treatment. So after the session completed, as usual the lady will try to sell me their product and brief me on the next available package. I normally take like 5 or 10 times package because they are cheaper. This time I don't want to buy future sessions now because I plan to leave Penang. I told her this. :p I just want to avoid from spending too much and I feel like trying different shops in latter.

Then I went to watch Beowulf an animation movie which did not surprised me much. It is definitely a good try to animate the real human video but I wasn't that interested in the technology. There was Angelina Jolie with her super figure who starred the mother of monster. Haha.. weird huh. She got this braid which looks like a tail and had two sons in this movie, Grendel and the golden dragon. Beowulf was this hamsup hero who wished to win all battle so that the people will sing about him forever. This is my personal opinion because I am not a great fan of animation movie like Narnia so please watch and grade for yourself.

bukit bendera

Penang Hill or known as Bukit Bendera is a place that any school trip surely will not miss. I went there one time in year 2006 with a group from Klang. I am writing this not that I want to promote the place, but is just for the sake of remembering the moments. If not, why is this blog named "Moments in Life" ? I succeed another trip two weeks ago with my sisters and WL.

Ticket cost rm4 perpax and a stuffy ride spoiled all. The train comes in every 15 minutes and morning train in weekend normally full -> very x 1000 full= damn full. The time we were there, there was a school rombongan and caused the train filled by many malay school kids equals to noisy and sweaty.

While waiting for the train, we took some photos around the waiting lobby. There is this museum at the side and nobody bother to take a look at the stuff in there. Therefore we gave it a little attention and took some photos inside with the old pictures and train equipments.

These two are my sisters. I am not playing unfair to my youngest sister but this is exactly how she looks with braces on and smiles -- sweet--

The train which squeezed like fifty of people in with the symbol of Penang island in the front. This thing is super geng because it can incline and decline according to the path that we are going to. Those aunty and uncles I guessed should be staying up on the hill and make daily trip down hill to buy groceries from the Air Itam town just nearby.

A one metre fake lizard we saw from the ride. fake.

Penang island view on the surrounding from Bukit bendera. See the cloudy hill? that is bukit jambul.

Old cannon Francis Light probably used to fire the Japanese. wohoho.. I simply say one. Don't quote me please...

The ladies were claiming there was nothing to be done there. Yes, true. Do nothing and went back down hill in the stuffy train again.

We took one all girls photo there. Bad choice. Don't want be there again next time.
